We hear it all the time. What we need in America is a conversation about race. However, it seems all we see is shouting and tribalism. We see different agendas pursued many of which have no desire to solve the root problems.
Hebrews 10:24-25 reads, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Texas Titan Episode 41, Spencer Bynes, reached out to me to come back on and discuss these heated issues facing our country. Spencer and I both have daughters of similar ages. What does an African-American dad tell his daughters? What am I telling mine. How do we keep them communicating with members of other races and not retreated to their corners?
While Spencer and I don’t pretend to have all the answers nor do we think one conversation is going to cure race relations we do hope is serves as an example. We need real every day people talking not just the pundits and talking heads who just “observe” everyday life in America but in reality are far removed from it.
I hope you enjoy “the conversation.”
